SAILING COURSES
All of our courses include the books and materials that cover the theory associated with the teaching. Our instructors each have at least a decade of sailing experience behind them with extensive knowledge of both cruising and racing.
ASA 101.
This is the entry level beginner course aimed at getting new sailors comfortable on a sailboat. This course will teach you terminology, principles of sail, and basic knot tying. You'll work with the instructor and the other students to learn as a team rotating from helmsman to sail trimmer and learning the techniques necessary to operate a sailboat safely and effectively.
ASA 103.
This course builds on basic skills and introduces the student to navigation seamanship and more advanced sailing techniques. With a focus on the more overarching concepts students will gain a deeper understanding of how to plan and carry out a fun day sail. By the end of this course sailors should be ready to take out boats on their own.
