Our mission IS TO provide the best sailing experience possible and to create lasting relationships with our clients
True Sailing started as an idea that sailing should be accessible to everyone in a fun and engaging way. In early 2017 Capt. Nate sailed his new Catalina 42 through the Verrazano narrows and into NY Harbor, and thus began the True Sailing era. At the height of the pandemic in 2020, the difficult decision was made to leave New York behind and relocate the boat to the Hamptons. Since then, True Sailing has operated as a charter brokerage in NYC, finding the right boat for any occasion for our clients and continuing as a day charter business and sailing school in the quaint sailing town of Sag Harbor.
OUR VALUES
Personalized sailing experiences
Each of our charters is a personalized and flexible sailing experience. What works for one group might not works for another so we tailor each charter to the needs of our clients.
Sustainability
Sailboats run on wind making sailing the only way to travel long distances over water in an environmentally sustainable way. Our boat is also equipped with solar panels to provide electricity to the ship’s systems. We employ a waste management plan that keeps waste and pollution to an absolute minimum. We believe that fun should be green, and this is one of the reasons we choose to sail.

While not excelling at any of the other sports on offer, he and his brother found that they preferred to spend their time on the water, sailing, and often capsizing Sunfish, Lasers and Hobie Cats.
